It was a dead brick upon arrival. The printed directions are VERY tiny—need magnifying glass & good light, to really read them….& they reveal that this unit is NOT suitable for intended purpose—hints are in what it says. Bad on me, for failing to figure out how dead-brick it was, soon enough to return it (but they’d just sell it to some other sucker?)
PROBLEMS:
It ONLY charges by using its short (about 10”) charging cord; not a realistic length of cord.
The light button for the light feature is hard to find, & Not intuitive.
The light NOT working at all, no matter how charged-up the blue lights indicate; not even if plugged-in.
The USB sockets are NOT labeled—you guess.
The plastic socket cover on a hinge, is designed to break, unless unit is very carefully handled.
Charging does not work from solar.
After charging by cord until all the blue lights were on—it should work, right? Nope.
It barely charged my little iPhone SE from about 60% up to about 80%—that used up this battery bank; it couldn’t do anything else.
That was the ONLY & last thing it sorta worked to do.
It WAS seeming to get a little solar charge under a lamp, but not enough to really charge it—the green light came on…..but ONLY after unit got cord-charged fully.
If unit not fully charged by cord, the solar charge fails (no green light), & the light feature never worked.
…Now THAT does not work.
It failed to ..hold.. any charge, losing charge just sitting on shelf for several hours—not even overnight.
I put it near a lamp light after cord-charged, trying to help it hold a charge…that kind of works to maintain it.
A person needs to be able to DEPEND on battery backups; Literally, someone’s life might depend on it working. DO NOT DEPEND on this item, even if the one you get ..seems.. to work some, at first.
This unit is NOT made properly; it is NOT reliable.
It was, essentially, DOA.
If you understand electrical things at all, you should FEAR this one; apparently, it’s Li battery is not particularly stable, & there’re hints the company knows it, in the micro print directions.
THIS is flagrant misuse/waste of resources, & THIEVERY of your hard-earned money.
Amzn seems deluged increasingly, with junk like this; it does NOT inspire confidence in buying from venders here.
There is one less trustworthy website to buy from, WallyWorld (wlmrt).
Is Amzn trying to compete for the bottom?
Is there any way for Amzn to reduce the ripoffs from badly made products?
