my first smart watch – and I like it a lot
This was my first experience with a smart watch. Of course, I had heard many people talk about their experience with sleep monitors, step counters, etc. So I thought I would give it a try.The watch itself is pretty big on my wrist – but, looking at others, that seems to be the standard. I actually started calling it my “wrist monitor.” I assume that 30 years from now people will laugh at us for wearing such large devices.I downloaded the app onto my phone, which was easy to do, and then paired the two devices. The app is very informative and provides detailed reports on the features of the phone. Also, the app contains the user guide which helps you better understand your watch. The heart monitor, blood oxygen monitor, and stress score analysis are very nice to have. The sleep monitor works well and provides in-depth information on your sleep patterns – REM, light sleep, deep sleep, and how long you were awake. It also keeps track of sleep patterns over a period of time.I am taking the step counter with a grain of salt – I noticed that the step counter always seemed a little high. So, over a couple days period, I checked my steps first thing in the morning. Apparently, I walked 800 steps just getting ready in the morning – that simply was not right. While my bathroom is large, it doesn’t take me 30 steps to walk from my sink to the toilet. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or the watch counter is off but it is not correct. The step counter is working correctly for the rest of the day; it only is off first thing in the morning. The fitness tracker lets you choose from a number of different sports. Emails and text messages appear on the watch. The phone call quality is excellent – you are able to store up to 20 phone numbers and make calls. I get weather updates on the watch. I am still finding more and more options that I have not yet used – such as the personal assistant or the alarm clock. Battery life is long-lasting; it will run for at least seven days on one charge.I am pleasantly surprised with this watch. It’s a great watch for someone inexperienced in the usage of smart watches and wants to learn. The instruction manual in the app helps a lot. I definitely recommend this watch – and, at the price, is well worth it.

This is a really great smart watch, terrific alternative to the ‘big two’, and at this price point, you can’t go wrong!

It has all the features that I want and more. I like the stress and O2 tracking, the step tracking, and all of the ‘usual’ features, but I love the added Alexa functionality because my house runs with Alexa and everything is linked, including my Blink cameras and Ring doorbells. So this watch brings things full circle for me!

A huge bonus is that it was easy to pair, even for a tech-challenged person like me.

I am thrilled with being to use this for phone calls and texts; that I get notifications through Alexa; and that it fits nicely and comfortably to boot. For the past couple of decades, I have not been one to wear a watch but now I’m loving it.

The only thing I wish it did that it doesn’t do is track blood pressure. Instead, it tracks “stress” which isn’t quite the same thing.

The battery life is surprisingly good. When I opened the box, I automatically plugged in the charger on the assumption that the battery would be low or dead, especially since the instructions said to charge it up before doing anything else. To my surprise, when I plugged in the charger, it turned out that the battery was actually already at 99%. (see photo #3). I have been playing with this watch for the past few days since it arrived and I have not had to recharge it at all yet. So I’m pretty happy with that, even though I haven’t given it the hugest workout on the planet yet.

One other huge bonus for me is the “find my phone” feature. Yes, I am one of those people who is not actually wedded to my phone, so I end up leaving it all over the place and sometimes I just can’t recall where the heck I left it and can’t readily find it. This locates it for me quickly and conveniently.

Overall, a solid 4.5 stars, therefore I rounded up to 5. I would certainly recommend this smart watch for anyone who wants the variety of functions that this watch has, without the huge pricetag that the ‘big 2’ carry. You really can’t go wrong at this price point with this phone and its fantastic array of features.
