Good product overall. I remember it wasn’t that long ago that budget smart watches were junk with virtually no capabilities and terrible screens. This is not the case any more. This watch has a sharp looking display, good resolution. The touch screen is accurate. The processor is fast and responsive.
Battery life is good, I can get at least 4-5 days per charge. However, if you set it to where it always displays the time, you won’t even get through a full day, so I was disappointed in that, as I would have preferred to be able to always display the time. Now I need to raise or twist my arm to wake up the screen, which took some getting used to for me.
I was pleasantly surprised that I can answer calls directly on the watch and am able to hear the caller clearly and they are able to hear me clearly.
On screen menus are pretty good overall. With a lot of products like this, I find that they contain broken/weird translations into English. This watch has good menus, so kudos to whoever designed that.
The manual is pretty detailed and helpful for initial setup, especially if you don’t have a lot of experience with smart watches.
One thing I really like that sets this apart from other economy watches is that you can enable or disable phone notifications for each individual app on your phone. Most other watches I see allow for a few individual common apps and then have a single setting for “Other” (i.e. all other apps on your phone), which is not anywhere near enough control and customization.
The app is good, the initial setup is fairly easy. As someone else pointed out in their review, you don’t need to set up an account with Kumi, which I prefer to not do.
Default settings are for metric units, so I imagine most people in the US prefer “Imperial” units as they call it (i.e. Fahrenheit for temperature and feet/miles for distance). You can change this in the app – got to “Me” and then “Units”. Easy, takes less than a minute, just not terribly intuitive.
There are many options for faces/dials to suit a number of style preferences, i.e. some are more artistic/stylish, some are more practical, some are digital time, some are analog time. I expect there’s enough options so that most people can find at least one face that they like. You can also load a custom picture as the background if you are into that.
The charger is a cord that attaches with magnets. Fairly easy. I don’t think this supports wireless charging, which I wouldn’t expect at this price point.
Before buying this, it’s important to recognize what it is and what it isn’t. It is a fairly inexpensive watch with some advanced capability, but not all the bells-and-whistles of an Apple watch or Samsung/Google watch. Then again, the price is much cheaper, so it depends on your priorities and budget.
