I wanted a watch to track my steps while I’m at work because I don’t always have my phone on me. I like the Apple Fitness app because it shows me when I’ve reached my goal, but I didn’t want to fork out big bucks just for a glorified pedometer.
Pros:
1. Cost. I paid about $27
2. App integration. The FitCloudPro app connects to Apple Health which feeds into Apple Fitness. So I’m getting the features that I need/want.
3. Accuracy. Most of the functions are pretty accurate. The step counting is very close to what I get from my Runkeeper app. I tested the heartbeat while at a doctor’s appointment and it was also very accurate. I’m on the fence about the blood pressure function.
4. Appearance. Everyone thought it was an Apple Watch so it doesn’t look cheap.
Cons:
1. Although the battery life is pretty good – I charged on a Saturday night and it went until Thursday morning. The downside is that when I put the watch on that Thursday, it read “50%”. However, the battery died within about 30 minutes of dropping to 50%. So now I just charge it every other night to make sure it’s always ready to count my steps.
2. Sleep feature. I’m not sure that’s accurate. And this watch is a bit too big to be comfortable for me to sleep in.
3. Price variations. I got this on Prime Day. The next day, it was $1 cheaper. When I sent the link to a friend who was interested earlier this week, it was about $10 less than I paid due to a coupon.
4. Linking. I’ve had to restart the watch a couple of times in order to get it to link to my phone. Weather tracking isn’t great.
Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. The app is easy to use. I’ve recommended this watch to all of my friends looking for a cheaper alternative to an Apple Watch. Would purchase again.
