I was given this product as a replacement for a single view screen bc the kickstand broke off inside the parent device. Super happy with their customer service, fast and helpful!
Currently, I have one camera in the bedroom and one in the living room. To start, you can see that the old model had a bigger screen, but not a deal breaker. The daytime image is much clearer. The night vision is a bit darker and grainy, but it could be bc the camera is quite far away, due to limited outlets. Set up was super easy, just like the old model and I love that they don’t use WiFi, which is so reassuring! The field of vision and range of motion are bigger, which is important for the living room camera. Now I can pan around to see the whole room, up and down, side to side. The sound quality is very good, even when the baby wakes up crying, it doesn’t get distorted. I did notice with both models, when you are moving the camera, the sound goes out, but that’s no big deal. The temperature sensor is great; it went off a few times with the old model, but hasn’t yet on this one. I really enjoy and it’s reassuring to be able to see the temperature! The new model also has features that the old one didn’t. Besides the duel screen, it also has VOX, a battery saver option, with 3 different sensitivity levels (Low, Med, High), which I love. I can’t speak too much on the battery life bc I have it plugged in most of the time, but when it’s off, it seems to hardly lose any charge.
It also has the ability to invert the camera 180°, which I haven’t had to use yet, but is cool to have. There’s also the two-way talk, feeding alarm, and lullabies, which I haven’t used yet, but are great features to have access to.
My only gripe is that while I am well aware of HOW to keep the screen on one camera, I can’t seem to get it to work. When I’m in the living room and the baby is napping in the bedroom, so I only want to view the one camera, I select the right option on the device, but as soon as there is a noise or movement in the living room, it switches back to it. I even posted a question on the product, which the seller replied with the steps I was already taking, but it still doesn’t help. The only solution I’ve found is to disconnect the 2nd camera I’m not using.
