I use this downstairs in my kid’s study room any time I need to do any tasks upstairs. The video quality can be in color during the day time and during the night the video is in black and white. The sound is clear, picture quality is clear, and able to zoom or move the camera around for different video angles. has a night light feature that can be turned on and off. Makes the video quality even brighter. The controller can be charged with a phone charger.

Some great things about this monitor: 1) doesn’t require connecting into a Wifi network or into the web. 2) Nice construction. 3) Good motion control from the handheld remote to adjust camera view and zoom length. 4) Runs off AC or rechargeable battery, so no need to load up on batteries.

One concern: low level lighting was marginal quality at best. If using as a baby monitor, you will want to adjust the lighting to a medium to low level that will allow the baby to sleep but will still provide a usable picture. This is the setting before the infrared camera kicks in. Considering the price, the good and the concerning, I’d recommend as a buy for this monitor.
