I bought this watch for all of my kids (ages 6-11). They love it! It gives them the time plus monitors their steps, their heart rate & sleep. You can add an alarm (which must be set using the app on your phone) & a stopwatch. Love the sleek design! We’ve been told it looks like a Fitbit watch. When using the app you can also set your watch to receive notifications from your phone.
While you don’t HAVE to use this watch with an app, it really is necessary to use the app for setup. Once setup, you do not have to use the app again unless you watch to have historical data of you steps, heart rate & sleep. Or if you want to set an alarm.
FYI: It appears that you cannot change the screen wallpaper with the iPhone app & can only do this from the Google Play app. Not a big deal but don’t waste time looking for this if you have an iPhone.
As a parent monitoring my kids watches, I wish that you could have multiple profiles on the app but that isn’t possible. So if you want to monitor multiple watches, you’ll need a separate email address for each profile.
And one final note, out of 4 watches that got wet, only one had problems. But it was replaced & we haven’t had trouble again.
